The baby is a peach, no - a doll a darling and an angel… she is adorable with a capital A. She’s warm, soft and pink – a delicious bundle of velvety babyness, all smelling of johnson’s; and milk, and that soft fuzzy baby smell that you just have to bury your face in... I know that you know exactly what I mean.
She has a tiny sweet kittens face, with a little mewly mouth, and tight shut eyes – actually, she looks very like her Mum did at that age, same beautiful dark skin, and long silky black hair, she looks so dark – oriental even, and I’m sure she’s going to have the same almond shaped eyes as her aunties, Jazz and Hayley – she’s going to be a beauty no doubt.
Donna says her eyes are light blue already, when she opens them wide - very striking with her dark complexion and hair – and a throwback to her Spanish/Irish ancestry.
My daughter appears to have completely forgotten that she really wanted a boy – amazing how quickly a baby manages to snuggle it’s way into your heart, eh...? :-)
At twenty and a half hours old the little girl has yet to find out what it feels like to lay in her crib…. Good for her – I pray she knows the warmth and security of loving arms around her every second of her life.
Welcome to the World - and to our family
